Let’s hope they don’t read this then…

I’m baffled. I really am. It’s a friggin’ miracle we don’t have mice… or even fruit flies. Yes, I know it sounds disgusting, but it’s not as bad as it sounds. It’s just that I usually forget to throw away leftovers and find them on the stove in the morning. Okay, not only do I forget, I’m also a little lazy when it comes to things like this. Sure, we clean the place. But the stove… Well… Let’s just say we’re halfway between student life = never clean the stove*, and regular, grownup life = clean it every week……… even though I’m not sure what the average of ‘never’ and ‘weekly’ would be, heheh…

Anyway, I’ve never seen bugs or other critters around the house. So I guess leaving a plate or two in the sink at night doesn’t really attract things? Or maybe they don’t like my cooking? They can’t stand the amount of hot sauce Sander puts on the food? … No, I have a different, stronger hypothesis: Why would a mouse hang out at our apartment when there’s a Thai restaurant two doors down the street? My conclusion: As long as we keep less food out in the open than that restaurant, they won’t discover us 😛

(* perfect system at my previous student house: put aluminum foil over the stove and refresh that every month or so)
